Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE) , leader of the Returnto Spain ,left the race in the 8th stage after suffering a severe fall 32 kilometers from the finish.
Pogacar got into an ambulance with a sore left collarbone . After being treated by doctors on the road, he tried to get on his bike, but he was in a lot of pain, so he suspended the race.
