Slovenian Tadej Pogacar acknowledged at the end of the eleventh stage that he was on the verge of leaving the Tour de France because of a drum on the road.
"You can lose the Tour every day, and today is a clear example of that. There was a drum on the road and I was about to go to the ground.
The Slovenian has stressed that the priority is to ensure safety at this type of stage, but he has said that he loves it when he walks fast and that "participating" in the fastest stage in the history of the Tour has been "excellent."
"So far I have had no problems, not only in my physical form, but in everything that happens outside of cycling, in sensations, in sleep... everything is going well on this Tour.
