Labor Kutxa files Maier Olano until 2028
The Tolosarra cyclist is the nephew of Abraham Olano and the purple squad values him as "the pearl of the Basque quarry".
Labor Kutxa has confirmed the signing of Guipuzcoana cyclist Maier Olano, born in Tolosa until 2028, nephew of road world champion Abraham Olano of 1995, whom the purple squad values as "the pearl of the Basque quarry".
Olano, 19, is the third firm of Laboral Kutxa for the next season, after Ayala Serrano and Maite Urteaga, two other young Basque cyclists with great projection.
After playing football and athletics, this year he premiered in the under-23 category with Maier Olano, Massi Baix Ter and Eulen-Amenabar.
"Signing up for Laboral Kutxa is a dream come true. All Basque cyclists have always considered it a great reference and belonging to it is extraordinary," Olano said.
