France retaliates at the World Cup and overtakes Italy in the mixed relay of the European Championship

The French team won the gold medal in the mixed relay of the European Road Cycling Championship after beating Italy two weeks ago at the Montreal World Cup, so the French took the rematch in Ljubljana , Slovenia.
The French team made up of Bruno Armirail, Remi Cavagna, Thibault Guernalec, Juliette Berthet, Cedrine Kerbaol and Maeva Squibane took one minute and 12 seconds less than Italy to complete their journey.
In the Montreal World Cup, two weeks earlier, Italy had been superior to France. In Ljubljana, the mid-career rise has a leading role and is less suitable for specialists.
All the routes of the European Championship are structured around a 22.1 km circuit starring the climb to Mozjanca (2.1 km with an average slope of 10.2%, 15.8% with some slopes). The mixed relay consisted of two turns to the circuit, one male and one female.
Only six teams from Slovenia, Ukraine, Luxembourg, Poland, France and Italy participated in this test.
Italy, junior champion
Previously, the Italian team has won the gold medal in the mixed junior relay. The Italian team has completed the test in 1:07:22.19.
Italy has represented Norway (champion of Europe in 2025), Poland (1:07:45.21) and Switzerland (1:07:52.27).
Individual counterclockworkin all categories will close the European Championship this Wednesday.
