The Manchego coach will leave the team at the end of the season after three years in office.

Lucas Fernandez will not train the Gernika KESB basketball team from next season, according to reports this Wednesday.
In Fernandez's leadership, Gernika was ninth in the Endesa Women's League (2024-25), and twice tenth (2022-23 and 2025-26).
He also qualified twice for the Queen's Cup (2024 and 2025) and reached the Euro Cup's 8th finals in the 2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons.
