Inversus Gernika Bizkaia has closed its 2026-27 season with the signing of Lara McSpadden, 27, and a 1.94-metre-high Australian pivot.
The Basque team's technicians hope that the Australian, a "versatile" player who can also act as an ala-pívot, will provide "physical presence, bounce and ability to finish near the hoop."
International in training categories and world champion under 17 in 2016, has signed an average of 5.1 points and 3.3 rebounds last season with the Sydney team in 14 minutes.
McSpadden Inversus is the eleventh signing of the Gernika Bizkaia and will be available to new coach Franky Garcia with players such as Sam Galanopoulos, Estel Puiggros and Ane Olaeta ; escort Angela Salvadores ; wings Joy Adams, Irune Orio and Elena Bosgana ; and pivots Seehia Ridard, Esther Matarranz and Aronette Vonleh .
