Gerardo Candina, Gernika KESBko presidentea
We have experienced the most critical moment in our history.
"This agreement is functional for Gernika. We have experienced the most critical moment in our history when we have run out of sponsors. To continue growing, we had to find a company that believed in this project as much as we did, and from the very beginning Inversus gave us that confidence," Candina said.
The president hopes that by the end of the 2026-27 season, the renewal clause contained in the agreement itself will be implemented.
"We need to get to know each other and see that this is interesting for both sides. In principle, protection is for a year, but I understand that clause will be compliedwith, and I hope this relationship will continue for many years, "Candina said.
For his part, José Joaquín Vicente has stated that, in addition to financial support for his company, the aim of this sponsorship is "to be part of the community and to protect the values" that they share with the club.
"I understand that the goals set by Gernika this year are to compete in the Queen's Cup and re-enter Europe. We come with the intention of naming ourselves on T-shirts, but we also want to go hand in hand with the team to achieve the goals. We come to be part of the project," Vicente stressed.
