Ecuadorian Jhonatan Narváez leaves the Giro in the queen stage
After winning three stages, he got off the bike in the first few miles of the Passo Durán climb due to the damage caused by the fall the day before when he went from the finish line to the team bus.
Ecuadorian Jhonatan Narváez (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) left the Giro de Italia on Friday in the first kilometers of the 151-kilometre Grand Stage between Feltre and Alleghe (Piani di Pezze).
Narvaez, whohas won3 stages , has got off the bike in the first miles of the Passo Durán climb, the first of the six difficulties of the day, dueto the damage caused by the fall he suffered the day before while travelling from the finish line to the team bus.
Narvaez has thus abandoned the fight for the pink maglia of regularity in favor of the Frenchman Paul Magnier (Soudal), a UAE cyclist with 158 points compared to 195 for Magnier.
