The ninth stage of the 2026 Giro de Italia will be played on Sunday, May 17. It will be a day of 184 kilometers, in which cyclists will leave Cervia at 12:35and finish at the top of the Corno alle Scale between 17:00 and 17:27.
In this ninth stage, cyclists have to climb two punctual ports. The first, the third-class Querciola, will be left behind at kilometre 167.4. But the second, the Corno alle Scale, which is the final port of the stage, is a first-class climb, 10.8 km, with an average of 6.1% and a slope of up to 15%.
We've often seen how racing, in three-week laps, when there's rest the next day, is very difficult to control; it seems like cyclists want to do that the next day they won't be able to do it.
