The second stage of the 2026 Giro de Italia will be played on Saturday, May 9. The test continues in Bulgaria for the second consecutive day and until Sunday, and the day will begin in Burgas and end in Veliko Tarnovo over 221 kilometers . The forecast is that the departure will take place at 11:50 a.m. and, according to the organizers, the winner will pass between 16:59 and 17:29.
On this second day of the competition, participating cyclists will have to overcome three qualifying ports, all of third class: the Byala Pass, at kilometre 116.3, the Vratnik Pass, at 134.1, and the Lyaskovets Monastery Pass, whose banner will be only eleven kilometres from the finish line.
