Barandika and Basque have won the final semi-final ticket after defeating Urrutia and Del Rio in two games

Xabi Barkka and Thibault Basque have won the final ticket for the semi-finals of the Eusko Label Winter Series after defeating Thomas Urrutia and Julen del Rio in two sets (15-13 and 15-10) at the Jai Alai fronton in Gernika.

In the first set, Barandika and Basque have corrected a bad start, without brilliance, but taking advantage of one of the balls to deactivate Del Rio's right hand, which has failed to adapt to that material (15-13).

In a second set dominated by tension, Xabi and Thibault have also taken the cat to the water (15-10), getting the final ticket to the semifinals. Del Rio has ended up in this game against a Barkka who has carried the weight of the blue couple because the Basque has not been safer.

Erkiaga and Ibarluzea have released a series of victories, but no prizes.

In the second match of the day, Aritz Erkiaga and Jon Ibarluzea said goodbye to Winter after winning their first win in three sets (9-15, 15-14 and 5-3) against Alex Goitia and Unai Lekerika, who are ranked for the semi-finals.

In this edition, luck has not been on the side. The Biscayans broke the tie in two defeats so far, with only one score (5-4) and more than their rivals.

Erkiaga and Ibarluzea started the match cold with an initial 0-5, but then matched the score, but in the final stretch of the first game Ispaster's striker wandered and Goitia and Lekerika took the set (9-15).

Although not very fine, Erkiaga and Ibarluzea have achieved a second equal set (15-14) and forced the third and final set. Aritz has started the game better than the first against Goitia and Lekerika, and they have played with confidence and strength.

In the untie set, both players have won after perhaps the best of their particular tournament (5-3).

The organizers are preparing the semi-final calendar and theopening game of January 5 will be played by Urreisti-Lopez against Goitia-Lekerika. The semi-finals will be played in league format and each couple will have three games.
