Amaia Aldai and Miriam Arrillaga won 22-13 for Laia Salsamendi and Andrea Capellan Plazandreak on the second day of the Fronton Esperanza in Bilbao.
The Navarre striker and the Riojano defense, with a blue belt, have jumped on the court better than the red pair and have advanced on the scoreboard (2-6). The match has had a quick start, but then it has hardened considerably. The Vizcaíno striker and the Guipuzcoan zaguero have scored a bit and changed the ball. Then it has been the most equal part of the match, with ties of six, seven and eight.
In the second half of the match the Reds have been more successful, while the Blues have made more mistakes. Thus, Aldai and Arrillaga have managed to leave on the scoreboard (16-10). Moreover, in the final leg the trend has not changed and the Biscayans and Guipuzcoans have achieved the greatest advantage of the match. In the end, they have won 22-13 with serious work.
Zabaleta dominates the four-and-a-half game
Then, in the crash in the cage, leitzarra Goiuri Zabaleta beat zizurkildarra Itxaso Erasun 18-14 . They both played a good and tight match. Navarro and Guipuzcoano ended up very tired. Zabaleta today filled the gap of oñatiarra Madalen Etxegarai.
The Guipuzcoan zaguero has started the match stronger and has put 2-6 ahead on the scoreboard, but the Navarro striker has caught (6-6) and passed. However, Erasun has never given up and has continued to fight. Thus, there have been several ties during the match, as well as many contested matches. Many times the two pelotaris have had enough work to play the next ball.
In the final stretch the balance has been uneven, and small details have decided the match, of which the Navarro has been finer and bagged the victory.
