Hundreds of fans have gathered in Bilbao to pay tribute to the FIBA Europa Cup champions

Hundreds of fans this Thursday praised the Surne Bilbao team in the Byzantine capital after winning the FIBA Europa Cup, a tournament in which 'men in black' have won for the second consecutive year, defeating the Greek PAOK Thessaloniki in Miribilla.
President Isabel Iturbe, Coach Jaume Ponsarnau and Captain Tryggvi Hlinason took the trophy when the team arrived at the City Hall. Acting Mayor of Bilbao, Amaia Arregi, received the team on the stairs.
The fans present have shouted in support of the champions and, after the first official photos, received the first official tribute of the day in the Arab Hall of the City Hall.
At the end, the players, trainers and managers of Surne Bilbao got on a convertible bus and made their way to the Foral Palace, where they were received by Deputy General Elixabete Etxanobe.
