Surne Bilbao has won a resounding victory in its European premiere in Bosnia (79-92)

The Surne Bilbao has won a resounding victory on the court of the Bosnian team Igokea (79-92) on the first day of the Champions League. The team has suffered casualties due to the inconvenience of the pivot Tryggvi Hlinason and the side Darrun Hilliard .

The Frenchman Bastien Vautier (19 points and 8 rebounds) led the victory of Jaume Ponsarnau's team. The eleven players ready to play, just 48 hours after last Sunday's extension in A Coruña, jumped onto the field ready to work, first to take advantage and then, at the decisive moment, stop the Ascension.

Hlinason, who stayed in Bilbao due to a blow to the head on Sunday, and Hilliard, who injured his ankle at the Coliseum , travelled and sat on the bench today. The Biscayan team quickly stopped a good start to the local game and soon took the lead on the scoreboard (6-13, m.4).

Ponsarnau has extended the rotation as far as possible, using all eleven players in the first quarter, so the Catalan coach has got a good contribution from Vautier and debutants Hustak in both the outside shots and the painting.

On the Bosnian side, the Serbian escort Lazar Stefanovic has held out on the Ascension. The billiards, effective, have been successful in the first six shots of three and Vautier has been almost unstoppable under the hoop.

The Surn increased its lead to 18 points (35-53) as soon as the third quarter began, while the climb increased its physical intensity and fell for the first time from a ten-point disadvantage (64-72) with an 8-0 partial in the first minute of the last quarter.

Ponsarnau has stopped the match , and Vautier and Somogyihave given the last push to the Biscayan team . Somoyi has not been a fine shot, but it has been key with nine assists distributed.
