The Flag Factory, the San Sebastian regatta to be played on Saturday, will be held, but the Traineras Club Association (ACT) will adapt the ground infrastructure. Given the adverse weather forecast, the so-called "fan zone" and the "guest stand" will not be set up, and no boat from the authorities will leave.
In a press release, the ACT has reported that, in the face of the adverse weather forecast for Saturday, it has decided to restructure land logistics and infrastructure in order to ensure the safety of both attendees and staff. In view of weather forecasts, the organisation will suspend the usual areas of protocol and leisure, so that no fan areas or guest stands will be set up, nor will the ships of the authorities leave.
As far as sport is concerned, however, and pending confirmation of the weather conditions for tomorrow, the regatta is maintained as planned. According to the maritime reports we have at the moment, the state of the waters allows the competition to continue, ensuring the safety of the rowers. The technical committee and the maritime judges will follow the evolution of the waters at all times, and if the weather worsens until the last moment before the start of the regatta, the necessary decisions will be taken to protect the safety of the rowers.
