Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton will play the final of the US Open this Sunday after beating Karen Khachanov and Frances Tiafoe respectively.

Alexander Zverev, number two in the world, beat Russian Karen Khachanov 6-3, 7-6 (7) and 7-6 (6) in 2 hours and 58 minutes. The German, for the second time in the US Open final, will seek his second Grand Slam title after winning Roland Garros.
In the other semi-final, Ben Shelton has gone back to the A0Frances Tiafoe to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, and 7-5 in 3 hours and 17 minutes. The 23-year-old American will play a grand final for the first time since Andy Roddick won it in 2003.
Shelton will face a difficult challenge as Zverev has won the five games between the two and the German will play his third straight final in the Grand Slam.
