Basque Team canoes Mira Lazkano and Klara Olazabal move to the canoe semifinals at the Oklahoma World Cup
Alex Segura and Oier Diaz say goodbye to the competition.
The most experienced women in international competitions passed the first test and qualified for the semi-finals. Mira Lazkano took 15th place, with a clear descent, no penalty, and the crone stopped at 97.45. Klara Olazabal also qualified for the next round, finishing in 22nd place, with a time of 99.59, and in his case also without penalty.
In the men's case, however, they were not lucky. Alex Segura , a prospective excellence member, made his debut at an absolute World Cup, finishing 53rd with touches at gates 7 and 20 and marking atime of 97.12. Oier Diaz, for his part, suffered a subluxation on one of his shoulders that prevented him from finishing the descent as he wished and left him out of the competition in a season in which he was doing quite brilliantly, having entered most of the World Cup finals played.
Oier's injury prevented the men from competing in the patrol tournament this afternoon. The palist of Irun tried it, but his shoulder couldn't stand it. He had to compete with Alex Segura and Miquel Trave. In the case of women, Mira Lazkano and Klara Olazabal, along with Nuria Vilarrubla, finished fifth in the group descent. Slovakia, the Czech Republic and France took gold, silver and bronze respectively.
