Salma Solaun hangs three gold again in the European Championship
Gasteiztarra Salma Solaun has completed a triple crown in the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship held today in Varna, Bulgaria, as she did last year in Tallinn, Estonia. The day after winning the general competition (All Around) with her teammates Marina Cortelles, Lucía Muñoz, Inés Bergua and Andrea Corral, they have maintained their level of excellence and climbed to the top of the podium inthe final five balls, including the mixed final.
Yesterday, All Around or the whole competition, they didn't fall, they didn't fail, and they didn't need much movement to round up the exercises. In both the mixed and five-ball exercises, they ended up in first place, showing surprising superiority. They needed 24,600 points to take first place, and they passed the grade with superiority. The final score was 28,800 in mixed exercise and 28,850 in five balls, dominating Russia (53,450) and Israel (53,350).
Today, five balls have highlighted the artistic level and execution, with 29,150 points and surpassing Belarus (27,550) and Israel (27,550), who have won 28,100 in the final of the mackerel and hoops, beating Russia (27,000) and Israel (26,300).
