The surfer zarauztarra has qualified for the Championship Tour, the highest surf category in the world, thanks to the result obtained in the Newcastle test of the Challenger Series circuit. The state's going to be the first surfer to play an entire season in the elite.
Nadia Erostarbe has reached a historic milestone in surfing. She has qualified to compete for a full season in the World Surf LeagueChampionship Tour(CT), the world's highest surf category.
With this achievement, Erostarbe becomes the first female surfer to play a full season of Championship Tour statewide .
The day in Newcastle was tense. Although the zarauztarra was eliminated early from the competition, his position in the classification still allowed him to have options. When the Israeli surfer Anat Lelior was finally eliminated, his classification was mathematically certified.
Erostarbe's debut will be in April at the prestigious Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach , one of the most significant tests on the world calendar.
