Anthony Kim wins the 2026 Adelaide LIV Golf Championship by surprise, and Jon Rahm is ranked second
The American golf player was out of the top level for twelve years. In Adelaide, on the last day of the tournament, he has defeated Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau, who, having finished third day of the competition, were in first place and had a five-stroke lead over Kim.
Anthony Kim was great on the last day.
American golf player Anthony Kim has won the 2026 Adelaide LIV Golf Tournamenton Sunday at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, Australia. Kim was out of the top level for 12 years, between 2012 and2024, but now, in Adelaide, on the last day of the tournament, he has beaten Jon Rahm and the American Bryson DeChambeau, who, at the end of the third day of the competition, were in first place and had a five-stroke difference with Kim.
In this context, the prospect for Sunday was that Rahm and DeChambeau would face each other, for at the end of the third day on Saturday, these two were in the first place, with a total of 197 hits, that is, 19 from the bottom of thefield.
However, in the tournament in Adelaide, one of the most amazing stories on the circuit has been seen. Kim, with 63 hits and nine birdies, has won the title.
Anthony Kim, 40, is participating for the first time in this year's edition of LIV Golf as a member of a team, as he was registered by the4Aces led by Dustin Johnson until the end of this season to fill thevacancy of Patrick Reed.
During his professional career, he had to cope with the enormous pressure they put on him, including the fact that many placed him as the successor to Tiger Woods handia. This situation and his injuries led him to move away from the golf courses in 2012.
After going through a hard and dark period, when, according to him, "he had hit the bottom as a sportsman and as a human being," he found a ray of light to get out of, and twelve years later he returned to the elite ready to give himself a second chance.
However, few thought he could return to the path of success. In 2024 and 2025 he did not achieve any extraordinary results. But it was evident that he was getting better and came to Adelaide ready to continue recovering sensations.
