Lucas Eguibar will compete in his fourth Games in Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo
The Donostiarra snowboarder of the Basque Team has previously been to Sochi 2016, Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022, and has obtained two Olympic diplomas.

Lucas Eguibar will once again play the biggest sports competition, the Olympic Games, with today's qualifying for the Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo rendezvous, according to the Basque Team Foundation.
For the Donostiarra, the Italian will be his fourth Games; he won seventh place in Sochi, Russia, 33rd place in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and again seventh place in Beijing, China.
On this occasion, the goal of the Donostiarra sportsman is to reach the podium, to pocket more specifically the gold, for which he believes he has "quite a few options." After several months of work at the Basque Team Center, the Equilibrium Center in San Sebastian and the snow (the last few days in Formigal), Lucas believes he will be at his "best point of preparation" when the Games arrive.
Although injuries have marked his course in recent years, first the spine and then the fracture of Achilles' scars, Eguibar faces the tournament with enthusiasm and optimism, overcoming all physical problems.
Although at the first World Cup of the season, the Cervinia Cup, he couldn't get past the quarter-finals, he says that February 12, when the qualifying round and the race will be played, will come at the sweetest time of the season, in line with the development that is taking place.
