The Royal Society has cut a bad streak against the Getafe (1-2)
The Royal Society defeated 1-2 to the Getafe this Friday in the match corresponding to the 19th day ofthe EA Sports League played in the Coliseum. Brais Méndez scored the first goaland after Juanmi tied, Aramburu scored the goal of victory head-on, ending a bad streak.
The first few minutes of the game have passed very slowly, the ball has lacked rhythm and the White-Blue have struggled to get the game going in front of a rival who has decided to wait on his field. The Getafe has bet on the counterattack but, despite a couple of approaches, has not created real danger in the Royal field.
Matarazzo's team has tried to steer the attack from the bands, but the opponent has remained far behind, making it almost impossible to find gaps. Kubo and Oyarzabal have tried again and again to attack, but the local defense has thwarted every opportunity.
The Royal continued to seek the goal and finally found it in the 36th minute. Braispicked up a center from the left band and witha cross shot scored an extraordinary goal to put his team ahead, which was the only shot to the door seen in the whole first half.
The Royal returned eagerly from the locker room, and it was Guedes who had the first clear opportunity, but his right hand narrowly left.
Soon after, Oyarzabal took advantage of a mistake by the Getafe defense to steal the ball, but he didn't have the clear ideas in front of the doorman and threw the ball out. The captain had a second chance with Barrenetxea, but neither of them got the shot right.
In the last few minutes, the Getafe has gone up in intensity, with the goal of getting some point, and the White-Blue has had to defend hard. Sometimes they've lost the ball too easily, but they haven't let the ball get to Remiro's goal.
However, at the last minute, the Getafe pulled out a distant foul and Juanmi put the ball through Remiro's legs, setting the tie.
The Royal put all her hope in the last corner of the game, and Aramburu came in with everything to finish off the ball head-on and sendit to the net.
The Royal thus puts an end to the five-day unwon streak with victory, Matarazzo's first.
