The Irundarra midfielder of the Athletic Club Leire Baños has broken the anterior cruciate ligament of her right knee, which will require surgery, according to a statement from the red-white club.
Injured in his first pre-season match, last Saturday in Luanco against Deportivo Abanca, the Guipuzcoan midfielder had to leave the field just two minutes after the crash.
Medical examinations by the IMQ Medical Services have confirmed his serious injury, and he will be operated on in the next few days and fully recovered.
