Irene Oguiza renews with Athletic until 2029
The captain of the first team of the red-white club has extended his contract for three years. Oguiza has been in the top seven seasons, all in Athletic, during which he has played 113 official games, scoring 14 goals.

Irene Oguiza has renewed with the Athletic Club for the next three seasons, until 2029, as announced on Thursday by the bilbaine club. Oguiza, captain of the first team of the Athletic Club, has been in the top seven seasons, all in Athletic, in which he has played 113 official matches, scoring 14 goals. The midfielder is 26 years old.
Throughout these seasons, the Athletic has pointed out on its website, Irene Oguiza has matured and become an example of leadership by wearing the captain's bracelet; in the middle of the field, a compass, the Biscay club has highlighted.
Oguiza, in statements collected by the Basque club, has pointed out that the renovation is "very special": "I am very happy to continue in Athletic for another three years. I thank the club for the trust they have placed in me. I have great confidence in the project we have, young and full of ambition. I want to return all love in the form of performance in the coming seasons."
