Athletic announces that Nerea Nevado, Maite Zubieta and Marta Sanadri will not continue on the team
Nevado and Zubieta had the option to renew with the red-white club and have decided not to accept it; nor will Sanadri, after playing in the Alavés in the 2025-2026 season, remain in the Biscay club.

The Athletic Club announced on Monday that Nerea Nevado, Maite Zubieta and Marta Sanadri will not continue in the red-white club from June 30. Nevado and Zubieta had the option of renewing with the Athletic Club and have decided not to accept it; nor will Sanadri, after playing in the Alavés 2025-2026 season, remain in the bilbaine club.
Nevado has played 142 games wearing the white T-shirt and scored nine goals; Zubieta has gone out in 103 encounters with the Basque team, scoring three goals; and Sanadri, in total, has played 36 games with Athletic, and scored two goals.
The Athletic Club wishes to thank you for your dedication and professionalism at this stage that is coming to an end and wishes you the best of luck in your personal and professional career from now on.
