Itziar Gastearena, Elene Errasti, Jimena Vicario, Raquel Gil and Vicky Chica have left the Alavés, according to the Babazorro club today in three separate notes.
In the case of Gastea, the Guipuzcoan player will leave "an indelible footprint both on and off the field" after spending two different stages in Vitoria, as highlighted by the Alavés.
Itziar Gastearena Artola (Villabona, Gipuzkoa, 4 May 1993) defended for the first time the Babazorro T-shirt between the 2019/20 and 2021/22 seasons, making history in a team that for the first time rose to the highest level of Spanish football.
On the other hand, Errasti will leave the Vitorian team after five seasons. Elene Errasti Arriola (Aretxabaleta, Gipuzkoa, 20 April 2000) arrived in Ibaia in the 2021/22 season to be part of the second team. A year later he made the leap to the first team. He debuted in First Division, lived the descent, and in the last season he has starred in the promotion.
Jimena Vicario Casal (Modubar de la Emparedada, Burgos, June 7, 2005) arrived at Deportivo Alavés two seasons ago and has helped the Vitorian team play a playoff of promotion to Liga F and return to the highest category.
Raquel Gil Villar (Valencia, June 16, 2005) arrived at the Babazorro club in the 2024/25 season to reinforce the attack of the Alaveses, two seasons in which the Valencian has played more than 2,000 minutes and scored five goals.
Finally, Victoria Chica Comas (Can Picafort, Mallorca, 26 February 2005) arrived in the Alavesa capital last summer from Atlético de Madrid. The Mallorcan left for Alba in the winter market for minutes.
Deportivo Alavés wanted to thank the five players for their "commitment" and wished them "the best of luck, both in their sporting career and in their personal future."
