Olympiacos announced on Thursday that Imanol Sheriff will be the team's new coach, who took office after the departure of José Luis Mendilibar, although the Greek team has not revealed how long the former Royal Society technician will be linked to the team.

Sheriff has returned to European football after leading the Al-Shabab team last season. Mendilibar has been dismissed and arrived at the Olympiacos shortly after completing a very promising stage in the Piraeus team.

Imanol arrives on the Greek team backed by his results in the Royal Society: he spent six seasons in front of the Donostiarra team, where he led 330 matches, in addition to winning the King's Cup in 2021.
