As a player he played in the forward position and right wing, during his career he played in teams at thelevel of Liverpool, Newcastle, Southampton or Hamburg, as well as with the Englandteam, debuting in 1972 and retiring ten years later atthe 1982 WorldCup in Spain.
Throughout his career as a player he won a great champion, including three English leagues, one German league and one European Cup (the current Champions League). But above all these titles stand out the gold balls he won two years in a row in 1978and 1979respectively.
After retiring as a player 10, Kevin Keegan began his career as a coach, passing through various English teams, such as Manchester City, Manchester United or Newcastle , in two different terms, and was also an English coach between 1999 and 2000.
In his first term as coach of the Newcastle United, Armthorpefaced the Athletic Club in the second phase of UEFAin the 1993-1994 season. In the one-way match the British won 3-2, but on the return they could not maintain that advantage.
