The 2026 Women's Tour will end in Angliru after seven stages and a hard journey
The Women's Return to Spain has presented its fourth edition, which will cross Galicia, León and Asturias before deciding on the podium in the two finals of the high mountain.
The organizers of 'La Vuelta Femenina 2026 by Carrefour.es' presented on Monday the official tour of the fourth edition, which will be held from 3 to 9 May 2026. The test will begin in Galiciaand will consist of seven stages in which it will be completed in the demanding port of L'Angliru , one of the hardest hikes in cycling, after a week marked by a particularly favorable profile for climbers.
Before entering the decisive mountain, theplatoon will have four stages in Galicia, with a positive drop of 8,000 meters in 450 kilometers. The days between Marín and Salvaterra de Miño and between Lobios and San Cibrao das Viñas have great difficulties, but the third stage between Padrón and A Coruña offers the best chance for the sprinters.
After passing through Galicia, the race will leave León to face the fifth stageof 119 kilometers, in principle the fastest of the tour, but with the threat of wind. The generalwill finally be decided in Asturias, where the last two days have gathered the greatest hardness. The sixth stage, Gijón-Nava, will end at the top of Les Praeres, a high demand climb known as the "Little Angliru".
The end of the race will come the next day at the Alto de L'Angliru, after several appearances in the male version of the Return to Spain. With ramps around 25%, the climb will decide the final podium, as well as the successor to Demi Vollering. The final stage, with a cumulative levelof 3,200 meters, will be the hardest in the history of the test.
