In the 2026 Return to Spain there will be seven high stages in which there will be an individual clock of 32 kilometers

The 81st edition of the racewill begin in Monaco on Saturday 22 August and, with 21 stages, will end in Granadaon Sunday 13 September.

Thus, the 2026 Return to Spain will begin with a nine-kilometre individual counterclockwork, which will end on the Formula 1 circuit in Monte-Carlo; the third stage will bein Rancia F; and the fourth will cross Andorra , where there will be four ports on the route.

The first week of the race will end in the high, in Valdelinares, with a mountain stage; for the second week, the days will endin   Calar Alto and Pandera.

The third week is expected tobe decisive, in which the participating cyclists will face a 32-kilometer individual counterclockwork, Puerto de Santa Maria-Jerez, in the eighteenth stage, before two days that can be key: they will have the final in Peñas Blancas and Collado del Alguacil respectively.

The race in Granada, in the Alhambra, will see the winner climb the podium and get the red jersey from the 81 edition of the Return to Spain.
