The Labor Kutxa cyclist has crossed the finish line alone in Eibar after deciding the race on the climb to Izua.
Usoa Ostolaza (Laboral Kutxa-Euskadi Foundation) won the 8th editionof the Eibar City Grand Prix this Sunday. The race, which began and ended in Eibar, has had a 108.5 km tour.
After several attacks, the Zarauztarra cyclist has reached the head of the race within nine kilometres of the finish line and has left his rivals behind in the ascent to Izua.
He has taken a nine-second lead over the top of the mountain, and in the descent he has accentuated that difference, so he has prevailed alone and with authority over the Eibarrés finish line, so he has managed to pull out last year's thorn, which fell last year when he was about to win the race.
