This is the time that Pogacar and Evenepoel were about to be disqualified on the Tour de Flanders

The 2026 Tour de Flandershas its controversy. Indeed, after 60 kilometers,a step at the level hasbeen closed as the platoon was about to pass. Many of the cyclists on this team, including Pogacar and Evenepoel,have decided to pass as the barriers descended.

The Cycling Sports Regulation includesdisqualification  , penalties of up to one month and fines of between 200 and 5,000 Swiss francs for failing to respect a step at a level.

The current regulation clearly specifies that 'it isstrictly prohibitedto cross a step at a level when the barrier is lowered or lowered, or when the warning and acoustic signals with light are activated '.
