Van der Poel has prevailed in the E3 Saxo Classic

The Dutch Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech) won his third straight win in the du E3 Saxo Classic , showing faith and resistance.

In the absenceof 70 kilometers to finish, and taking advantage of the cobblestone passage at Taaienberg, Van der Poel has struck his first attack .  Dutch has been left alone, trying to capture the group of six fugitives who were then at the head of the race.

In the absence of 45 kilometers, Van der Poel has captured the team, and hasshown great speed in the ascent to Paterberg .

But Van der Poel has mismeasured his strength, 10 kilometers from the end, as his advantage has been reducedto 24 seconds . Little difference, allowing Hagenes, Abrahamsen, Vermeersche and Dewulf to dream of the following quartet.

However, when Van der Poel seemed trapped,the disagreementshave arisen\u00A0 among the rivals  and, worried about saving energy for the final attack, they have forgotten to hunt Dutch.

Mathieu van der Poel has won his 60th victory in his career.
