16 WorldTour teams and Euskaltel-Euskadi, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA and Kern Pharma, at the 2026 Return to the Basque Country
The organization has announced which teams will perform in the 65th edition of the race, so this year's Tour has featured all UCI WorldTeam teams except Jayco-AlUla and NSN Cycling Team.
16 teams from the UCI WorldTeam category, i.e. all of that category except Jayco-AlUla and NSN Cycling Team, and six others from the UCI ProTeam category invited by the organizers, including Euskaltel-Euskadi, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA and Kern Pharma, will attend the 2026 Return to the Basque Country.
In this context, according to the same source, Jayco-AlUla and NSN Cycling Team have reported that they will not participate: "Both teams had secured the place because they were members of the WorldTour, but, as a result of a rule of the International Cyclist Union (UCI), WorldTour teams have been able to refuse the invitation to calendar tests under certain conditions, so they have decided not to register for this test in the highest category."
As a result, the following 16 WorldTour teams will be present at the 2026 Return to the Basque Country from 6 to 11 April:
UAE Team Emirates

Soudal Quick-Step
