Imanol Lopez, accompanied by Erkiaga, champion in his farewell

Aritz Erkiaga and Imanol Lopez have won the final of the Zumaia Master Series after winning Jean Olharan and Unai Lekerika in two games (15-12 and 15-10). Lopez has thus put an end to his promising career by taking the last txapela in his village, Zumaia, on San Telmo Day.

Erkiaga and Lopez have made a perfect start to the final with a partial of 10-0. The veteran couple has been a storm, but at one point Olharan has managed to break that good streak with the first both.

Then they managed more than to simulate the marker , as they squeezed the Ispaster and the Zumaiarra when it seemed impossible. With 14-5 it looked like the game lost, but they came close to 14-12. So Olharan and Erkiaga have gone ahead on the scoreboard to the break (6-8). However, after the break the ispaster and the zumaiarra have managed to match the game and get ahead (11-8).

Elaia and Frida, champions

In the women's final, Elaia Gogenola and Frida Watkins have won in three games (15-9, 11-15 and 5-2), defeating Ihart Arakistain and Maialen Aldazabal, who have won the txapela on San Telmo Day.

Elaia and Frida have not entered the field welland have given a bad start to the match. Iharte and Maialen have taken great advantage of the poor start of their rivals and have put a 0-4 on the scoreboard. However, the realist striker and the Zumaiarra zaguero have reacted and achieved a tie to the first signal and then gone ahead to the break of the game (8-6).

In the second game, in the first quarter there have been four draw on the scoreboard, but Elaia and Frida have managed to take the baton and go ahead to the break (8-5). When after the break it looked like they were going to win the final in two games, the reaction of the Sopelana forward and the Reformed defense has come. They have gone straight from 9-7 to 10-14 and managed to impose themselves on the game (11-15), forcing the third game.

Inthe decisive final game, after the initial individual, Elaia and Frida put the 4-1 in a quick one. Iharte and Maialen managed to score a little more, but not prevent the victory of their rivals (5-2).
