Sorozabal brothers, Biscayne Cup champions

The final of the Biscayne Cup faced two different generations: the veterans Erkiaga and Lopez against theyoung brothers Sorozabal . The first set began with an intense rhythm, Erkiaga and Lopez imposing their experience and taking the initiative in the first few. However, the young couple were able to maintain calm and resist the pressure.

In thesecond set, Johan and Gorka Sorozábal adjusted their strategy. Johan began in front of them with dejections and powerful attacks in the corner, while Gorka threw the rebounds of  Erkiaga. Lopez 's problems with the basket (initially broken, then hooked up after , and finally broke completely on 12-8) facilitated the rebound of the youth marker by gettingthe second (15-8).

The untie was exciting: Johan and Gorka dominated from the start, taking advantage of every veteran error and their chances. After six, they closedthe match 3-5 with spectacular leftovers from the eighth frame, leaving Erkiaga and Lopez with no chance of a tie.

The fronton of Dania lived a historic day, with fans and former American pelotaris, paying tribute to the century of Jai Alai with a unique spectacle. The historic mayor of the fronton, Jose Miguel Arregui, had the honour of placing the txapelas, together with representatives of the local casino, closing an unforgettable day for the tip of the American basket.
