Two matches on the first day of the Eusko Label Winter Series

Today begins in Gernika the 6th edition of theEusko Label Winter Series tip basket tournament. On the first day two matches will be played: Urreisti-Atain vs Goitia-Oyhenard and Erkiaga-Salegi vs Goixerri-Lekerika.

This year, three pelotaris will take part for the first time and all three will play on the first day:\ u00A0 Guillem Oyhenard (Arrokiaga, 1999), Gorka Mugartegi "Atain" (Markina-Xemein, 2004) and Eñaut Salegi (Markina-Xemein, 1990). 

In total, the tournament will have 16 days , in addition to the final of February 13. As a novelty, the grand final will be played on Saturday night instead of Sunday at noon. 

A balanced match is expected between the two couples, in front of which will be Eñaut Urreist, current champion of Buruz, and Alex Goitiandia, while behind will be two players of the same generation with similar characteristics and debutants in this tournament: Gorka Mugartegi Atain and Guillem Oyhenard. 

Aritz Erkiaga has won 3 of the 5 editions of Winter. In addition, the recent World Ball Championship in Argentina has won the gold in individual. Winter Series will face debutante Eñaut Salegi. Goixerri and Lekerika. Lekerika also comes from the World Cup after dominating the final. 

On 2 November, Laduche-Manci and Barandika-Basque will play in Group B, while the third day is scheduled for 9 November, with the Olharan-Gorka vs Johan-Ibarluzea match.
