Baskonia announces that Mamadi Diakit will not continue at the club
The ala-pívot will remain in Dubai basketball after 76 games with the Vitorians.
Kosner Baskonia and Mamadi Diakit have reached an agreement to terminate the ala-pivot contract, which will continue next season at Dubai basketball. The Vitorian club and the Guinean player had a contract for one more season, but the Arab club has decided to sign the player after his first European season.
The ala-pívot has played 76 official matches with the Baskonia T-shirt, between the Endesa League, the King's Cup and the Euroleague, averaging 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 11.5 ratings.
Diakaité, who has left Baskonia after winning the 2026 King's Cup title, will be part of the Adriatic League team. The Vitorian club has thanked the player "for his work at this stage" and "we wish you the best of luck in your professional and personal future," they said.
