Vizcaíno Higinio Rivero has finished 20th in the20 km cross-country skiing test this Sunday, on the last day of the Paralympic Games of Milan Cortina , becoming the first sportsman in history to compete in three sports with Spain after practicing biathlon and canoeing in summer.
Rivero has entered with a time of59:49.0 , far from the medals won by Russian Ivan Golubkov (51:55), Chinese Zhongwu Mao (52:45.8) and Italian Giuseppe Romele (53:17.1).
The Basque sportsman has competed in four more tests in these Games. He was sixteenth in chase skiing, twentieth in the 7.5 km sprint and twenty-third in the 12.5 km sprint, the three of the biathlon, and the sprint of the kilometre of cross-country skiing did not pass to the semi-finals.
