Pogacar has sentenced the Tour de Romandía with an exhibition at the Queen stage
The Slovenian has won his third win in this edition by winning only in Charmey and sentencing the general in the absence of the last day.
Tadej Pogacar(UAE) has won the main stageof the Romandy Tour, played between Broc and Charmey, taking advantage of his attack on Mount Jaunpass.
The UAE leader has crossed the finish line in 3 hours, 40 minutes and 24 seconds, with an average of 40.8 km/h, adding his third win in this edition.
The Slovenian has outperformed theGerman Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull Bora) in 14 seconds, the only one who has tried to keep up with his rhythm. The Spanish Pablo Castrillo (Movistar) has taken third place, losing more than a minute, while Carlos Rodriguezhas been left behind by a fall.
In the initial getaway , Primoz Roglic (Red Bull) has been one of the protagonists, but control of the UAEhas thwarted all attempts before Pogacar's final attack. With this victory, the world champion has strengthened his leadership and increased his lead to 35 seconds over Lipowitz.
The final stage, which will end at Leysin (14.3 km ), will not be a mere formality, but Pogacar is in a very favorable position to secure the main victory.
