According to sources close to the cyclists, Guardeño stumbled upon a stone and collided with a car driving in the opposite direction, causing the biggest blow to his head, resulting in severe head injury.
In the note, the Caja Rural-Seguros RGA wanted to convey the greatest support and strength to the cyclist and wish him a speedy recovery. This season the Navarro team will be on the Tour de France and it was to be thought that Guardeño would be one of the cyclists.
