Los Angeles Lakers owner Mark Walter reached an agreement to sell the group to businessmen Josh Kushner and Bob Iger for $12 billion, ESPN reported on Wednesday.
A year after buying the Lakers for $10 billion, after a deal with the Buss family, who owned the franchise since 1979, Walter is about to close the highest ever sale to an NBA team.
Josh Kushner invests in technology companies through Thrive Capital, while Bob Iger advises him on long-term investments related to iconic brands and cultural assets such as sports franchises.
