Second place for Alex Aranburu on the Lomousin Tour
The Basque cyclist from the Cofidis team, winner in 2022 and second in the final stage with final in Limoges, has stayed within 15 seconds of the overall winner, Ewen Costiou (Groupama).

Alex Aranburu (Cofidis) was second on the Lomousin Tour after finishing 15 seconds from the winner, Ewen Costiou (Groupama), while Matteo Vercher (TotalEnergies) was third in the general.
In the fourth and final stage, Aranburu still had options to climb to the top of the overall ranking, yet he has finished in the esprint and the Basque cyclist has not been able to beat the French Noa Isidore (Decathlon) in the final meters.
Thus, after winning the Limousin Tour in 2022, Alex Aranburu has completed his participation in the 2026 edition with a second place in the final stage, two third in the second and third stages, and the fifth in the inaugural stage.
