Olharan and Gorka won their second victory and left Erkiaga and Ibarluzea almost without options
The Bearnotian striker and the Labor defense have dominated the first game (11-15), but in the second half the Biscayans have turned the situation around (15-8). The match has been decided in the third game, where the last three have been scored by the first (4-5).
A hug between Jean Olharan and Gorka Sorozábal at the end of the meeting.
The couple of Jean Olharan and Gorka Sorozabal, who have replaced the injured Johan Sorozabal again, have won in three games (11-15, 15-8 and 4-5) to Aritz Erkiaga and Ion Ibarluzea, champions of the last two editions, on the sixth day of the Eusko Label Winter Series at the Jai Alai fronton in Gernika.
In the first game, Gorka Sorozabal has been superior in the back paintings and has stood out in the face of the lack of solidity of Olharan Ibarluzea. Erkiaga has tried, but has not been able to turn the marker around, despite having approached several times. Gorka has not lost a single ball and Jean Olharan has been as brave and reliable as in the previous match (11-15).
In the second game, however, things have changed completely. Olharan and Gorka have failed to get Erkiaga out of the game, and Ispaster's wizard has made his own and two. Ibarluzea has been stronger in the back paintings and Sorozábal has lost some ball after making the first perfect game.
The third and final decisive game to break the tie has had a tight ending, as both couples have reached the end with a tie to four when a rebound from Erkiaga has gone to the top sheet after playing a lot of tension (4-5).
Consequently, this second defeat of Erkiaga and Ibarluzea has left them almost without a chance of classification, subject to the results of others.
